Eisenwerkstoffe werden in breitem Umfang durch Zink oder zinkhaltige Schutzsysteme gegen Korrosion geschützt. Dabei spielen Zink-lamellensysteme seit mehr als 20 Jahren insbesondere für Verbindungselemente eine wichtige Rolle. Applications for Zinc Flake Coatings
Ferrous materials in a wide range of applications are protected from corrosion using zinc or zinc-containing coating systems. Among these, zinc flake coating systems have played a major role in the last 20 years, not least in respect of connectors such as nuts, bolts and washers. Among the advantages of zinc flake systems are their ease of introduction in the manufacturing environment, their long-lasting protective action, not to mention aspects such as friction and their ability to be coloured. Thanks to cooperation between coating manufacturers, coating applicators as well as component suppliers and OEM, a high degree of process assurance has been achieved by all licensees for the process, thereby guaranteeing the highest reliability in their use worldwide.
