Null Fehler - oder was?
Der Begriff Null Fehler verursacht im Zusammenhang mit der Qualitätsüberwachung ebenso wie Six Sigma oder 3,4 ppm bei manchen Mitarbeitern in großen und kleinen Unternehmen Gefühle zwischen Irritation und Ärger. Dies liegt nicht zuletzt an der Vielzahl von unverständlichen oder schwer zu interpretieren und kaum in die Praxis übertragbaren Begriffen der unterschiedlichern QS Systeme. Bereits im Stadium der Entwicklung müssen alle Anstrengungen unternommen werden, dass das Produkt bzw. der Prozess so gestalten wird, dass bei der anschließenden Serienfertigung keine Nachbesserungen mehr erfolgen müssen. Eine erprobte Methode hierzu ist die statistische Versuchsplanung.

Zero Defects or what ?
The expression "Zero Defects", together with Quality Assurance, or Six Sigma or 3.4 ppm, can all too easily evoke - in both large and small businesses - a range of emotions from irritation to anger. To no small extent, these are linked to the multiplicity of incomprehensible or hard-to-interpret terms used in various QA systems, some of which can hardly be translated into practical terms. It is essential to make every effort, in the development stages of the product or process, to ensure that once it is brought into full-scale production, there will be no need for further modifications. One approach to achieving this is the use of statistical planning of experiments.
