Filiformkorrosion und Ergebnisse aus 10 Jahren Freibewitterung
Bei beschichtetem Aluminium tritt als einer der kritischen Versagensfälle die Filiformkorrosion auf. Die Anfälligkeit gegen Filiformkorrosion ist aus diesem Grund ein Kriterium zur Bewertung von Beschichtungssystemen. Die Beurteilung erfolgt Freibewitterungsständen in unterschiedlichen Klimaten, wobei beispielsweise auf dem italienischen Prüfstand die härtesten Korrosionsbedingungen vorliegen. Die besten Ergebnisse werden bei Beschichtungen mit einer Anodisationsschicht gefunden. Darüber hinaus üben die chemische Vorbehandlung und die Ätzprozesse vor dem Beschichten einen deutlichen Ein?uss auf die Korrosionsbeständigkeit aus.

Filiform Corrosion and Results of a 10 Year Weathering Test
Filiform corrosion of coated aluminium is a form of attack at all costs to be avoided, and it follows that determining the susceptibility of the coated metal to this form of attack, is of great importance. Long-term atmospheric exposure testing is one means by which this can be done where, for example, a test site in Italy proved to be one of the most aggressive. The best results were found for coated samples which had ?rst been anodised. This apart, the type of chemical pre-treatment and/or etch processes employed were also found to exert an effect on corrosion behaviour.
