Die heutige fortschrittliche Technik ist ohne Strom in unterschiedlichen Varianten und Frequenzen nicht denkbar. Werner von Siemens legte vor mehr als 140 Jahren den Grundstein für die allgegenwärtige Elektrifizierung mit den Entwicklung von Generatoren zur Stromgewinnung. Um das Jahr 1895 standen bereits Generatoren mit einer Leistung von 440 KW und einer Arbeitsspannung von 2000 V zur Verfügung.

Werner von Siemens and the Dynamo-electric Principle - Part 1: Generators
Today's technology would be unthinkable, were it not for the ready availability of electric current, in a range of frequencies. The foundations of this are due to the work of Werner von Siemens, some 140 years ago, which made possible today's ubiquitous electrification with the development of generators for electricity production. As early as 1895, such generators were operating at ratings of 440 KW and 2000 volts.
