Verfügbarkeit von Indium und Gallium
Indium und Gallium zählen zu den wichtigsten Metalle bei der Herstellung von mikroelektronischen Bausteinen und der neuesten Generation von photovoltaischen Zellen. Allerdings ist die Häufigkeit beider Metalle in der Erdkruste relativ gering. Die Knappheit wird jedoch vor allem durch fehlende Kapazitäten zur Gewinnung beider Metalle verursacht. Dies gilt sowohl für die primäre Gewinnung aus Erzen als auch das Recycling.

Availability of Indium and Gallium
Indium and gallium are among the most important metals using in manufacture of microelectronic components and, most recently for photovoltaic panels. However the incidence of these two metals in the earth's crust is relatively small. A shortage of the two metals is mainly due to insuf?cient capacity in the mining and metals industry, and this applies both to primary winning from ores and also to their recovery from secondary recycling sources.
